The Agility

The Agility
of perspective nearness in a lake of being

“"If we understand confluence to be a merging of two streams, this artistic research tries to uncover the intricacy of an «agility of perspective nearness», to consider how the behaviour of two entities might evolve into one."

Are musicians, a guitarist and violinist performing as a duo, of the same ‘room of one’s own’, do they inhabit the same space?

Can their sounds touch each other when one string is caressed into sound via a bow, and the other struck and dampened?

These inhabit the same visceral energy, but to ears they are so distinct, yet are they friends forming agile moments of over-stuck-ness, togetherness, though apart. Do they tend toward a separation, without letting the other know? It is a mystery, this oneness, and yet separateness. These agile moments of nearness are trying to tell us something. I hope I have heard them without too much coaxing. It should be a wonderful moment of unravelling, its beauty deciding to tell us it is possible.
